CMA Overview

Open to all analysts employed in the mineral industry and to other technical personnel directly connected with the provision of analyses, the Canadian Mineral Analysts association has done much to promote the communication of analytical technology in the Canadian mining industry. The association was formed in Noranda, Quebec, in October 1969, with the objectives of maintaining close liaison between the laboratories of the Canadian Mining Industry, assisting in developing and sharing methods for analysis of all elements, compiling methods manuals for distribution to members, holding annual meetings, and providing scholarships to students in mineral sciences.

Airport InformationQuébec City Jean Lesage International Airport is located 11 km (6.9 mi) north of Québec City. It is the second busiest passenger airport in Quebec after Montreal-Trudeau. Launched in 2006, with a budget of $65.8 million, Québec/Jean Lesage International Airport underwent a modernization designed to increase the terminal's capacity and substantially enhance the level of passenger service. In 2010, the airport was voted best airport in North America with fewer than 2 million passengers, by Airports Council Internationals Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program.Transportation From the AirportIn order to find a taxi, a limousine or other means of transportation, please go to the information desk inside the terminal before the security checkpoint of the Québec City International Jean Lesage Airport. Taxi fare is CAD $32.50 from airport to downtown Québec. Public transportation to and from the airport a few times a day is provided by public transit (RTC) bus 78.
